conditions, particularly in Wales, the East and West Midlands and into
Yorkshire” says the president of the AA, Edmund King, who has been
speaking to BBC Breakfast.
“It’s a combination of wind overnight and now we’ve got
rain, sleet and snow so pretty awful driving conditions” he says.
Noting that there are road closures in both Cornwall and
Wales, King says in those affected areas, he would advise people to “think
about your journey, do you really need to make the journey now? Because
conditions will ease up after 09:00”.
King recommends bringing windscreen wash, checking your
tyres are in good condition, ensuring your phone is charged and packing water
and warm clothes.
“If you are going out, make sure you’re prepared”
he says.
