According to Zhitong Finance, Tencent’s stock (Tencent) rose nearly 3%. As of the time of writing, it was up 2.25%, trading at HKD 522, with a turnover of HKD 4.677 billion.

In terms of developments, on April 16, Tencent officially released and open-sourced its multimodal world model HY-World 2.0. HY-World 2.0 is a multi-modal world model capable of automatically generating, reconstructing, and simulating 3D worlds based on various types of inputs such as text, images, and videos. It also supports exporting multi-format 3D assets (Mesh/3DGS/point clouds, etc.) and seamless integration with existing game workflows for rapidly generating game maps and level prototypes. The release of HY-World 2.0 represents an evolution in AI capabilities from “dialogue,” “drawing,” and “object manipulation” to “world creation”—the generation of complete “worlds” containing people, objects, and scenes.

Open Source Securities noted that Tencent and Alibaba have recently launched their respective multimodal world models, HY-World 2.0 and HappyOyster. The former can automatically generate, reconstruct, and simulate 3D worlds, while the latter allows users to control camera angles, adjust characters, and alter plot directions via text commands at any point in video generation. Additionally, the recently released Claude Opus 4.7 has shown significant improvements in software engineering, visual capabilities, and agent functionality. The firm believes that continuous advancements in large-scale models’ multi-modal capabilities, reasoning, and agent functionalities will drive ongoing demand for token volume, vertical AI application commercialization, and computing power cloud services.
