Netflix has shared the first teaser trailer for Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, its upcoming horror drama from Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer. The 8-episode limited series is slated to start streaming on March 26, 2026.
“Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen is an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials,” reads the official logline.

What do we know about Something Very Bad is Going to Happen?
The miniseries is created and executive-produced by showrunner Haley Z. Boston. The cast is led by series regulars Camila Morrone as Rachel, Adam DiMarco as Nicky, Jeff Wilbusch as Jules, Karla Crome as Nell, Gus Birney as Portia, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Victoria, Ted Levine as Boris, and Sawyer Fraser as Jude. Executive producers are the Duffer Brothers and Hilary Leavitt for Upside Down Productions, along with Andrea Sperling and Weronika Tofilska. The latter is also serving as a director alongside Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann.
“I love horror. It’s natural to me, [it’s how] I process my own emotions and feelings and my own understanding of the world,” Boston said ( via Tudum). “I think horror allows you to explore taboo feelings and take all of these fears and give them some bite.”
She continued, “When I was a kid, my mom said to me, ‘You just need to make sure you don’t marry the wrong person.’ The show is about the fear of marrying the wrong person. I’ve been to weddings where people say in their vows, ‘I never once had a doubt.’ I hear that, and I’m like, ‘That’s crazy. What do you mean?’ ”
