The Rossoneri had stalled in the Scudetto race with back-to-back draws against Genoa and Fiorentina, but rebooted their ambition with Thursday’s 3-1 victory away to Como.

It was largely against the run of play, but that’s not a problem for Max Allegri, who finds it considerably tougher to break down defensive opponents.

This is why the return of Pulisic to the starting XI after injury is a real boost, partnering Leao with Niclas Fullkrug on the bench.

Santiago Gimenez is the only remaining absentee, while Ardon Jashari and Adrien Rabiot pull the midfield strings, resting Luka Modric and Youssouf Fofana.

Lecce have hit problems lately, scraping one point from the last five rounds, although that was a surprising 1-1 draw away to Juventus.

They played at San Siro on Wednesday, losing 1-0 to Inter in a hard-fought rescheduled Week 16 fixture.

Francesco Camarda is out with a shoulder injury and won’t face his parent club, with Medon Berisha also on the treatment table.

Kialonda Gaspar and Danilo Veiga are both suspended, though Ylber Ramadani and Lameck Banda return from their bans.

Omri Gandelman gets his first start after the move from KAA Gent.
