Samuel L. Jackson may have made endless cameos in the MCU, but this time he’s done it somewhere else. Famous for playing Nick Fury, the acclaimed Hollywood star just left fans of a popular TV series in awe with an unexpected and mind-boggling appearance.

Samuel L. Jackson voices a hammerhead shark in The Boys Season 5
The Boys‘ Season 5 is leaving no stone unturned in dropping twists and surprises, and Episode 7 was no different. The biggest shock, however, arrived when Samuel L. Jackson’s voice was heard during a scene featuring The Deep.
Samuel L. Jackson’s cameo in The Boys pops up in the first few minutes of Season 5, Episode 7. After The Deep is fired from The Seven, he can be seen throwing a beer can in the water. That’s when a hammerhead shark, Xander, comes and slams his actions with verbal abuse. Well, this shark was voiced by none other than Samuel L. Jackson.
Speaking of Xander’s rage over The Deep, it ties into the latter’s betrayal of the aquatic life and water animals. In the last installment, Black Noir II had punched a hole in Vought’s new underwater pipeline. Because of this, the truth was out and exposed the poor making of the pipeline in front of the sea creatures after The Deep tried to convince them that it was safe.
Eventually, a massive natural disaster took place with the oil entering the ocean. Due to this, all water creatures got mad at The Deep. In Episode 7, Xander (voiced by Jackson) warned him not to set foot in the water ever again.
Meanwhile, Jackson’s cameo wasn’t the only moment of shock for hardcore fans of The Boys. Episode 7 also left most of them sad and upset with a key character’s death. The episode ends on a tragic note, with Frenchie sacrificing himself.
The Boys Season 5’s first seven episodes are now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. As for the finale, it will arrive on May 20, 2026.
