A 2022 thriller movie starring Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth will be leaving Hulu soon. Subscribers have a limited window to catch Poker Face before its scheduled departure from the streaming service. Notably, the movie had a limited theatrical run when it came out in 2022 before going to video-on-demand.
Poker Face leaves Hulu in March
Poker Face will be leaving Hulu on March 16, 2026. It joins five other films departing the streamer that month. They are Next Exit, Triangle of Sadness, Paradise, There There, and Hunt.
At the time of its limited theatrical release, the film reportedly grossed $2.6 million at the global box office.
The movie seems to have garnered mixed-to-negative reception from critics and audiences alike. This is evident from its scores on review aggregator websites. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a rotten score of 9% and an audience score of 35%. Meanwhile, on Metacritic, the film has a Metascore and user score of 43 and 4.7, respectively — both of which indicate “mixed or average” reception.
Poker Face is set against the backdrop of a high-stakes poker night spearheaded by tech mogul Jake Foley, who invites his childhood friends over. However, the fun night takes a dark turn when it is revealed that Foley planned the event to expose damaging secrets harbored by his friends.
In addition to starring in the film, Russell Crowe directed it, marking his second feature directorial venture after 2014’s The Water Diviner. He also wrote the film’s screenplay, while Stephen M. Coates wrote the story. Meanwhile, Addam Bramich, Jason Clark, Mark B. David, Gary Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton, Keith Rodger, Jeanette Volturno, Matt Williams, and Ying Ye produced the film.
Screen Media distributed the film, while Sky, Stan, MEP Capital, and Alceon Entertainment Partners are the production companies behind it.
Apart from Crowe and Liam Hemsworth, Poker Face stars RZA, Aden Young, Steve Bastoni, Daniel MacPherson, Brooke Satchwell, Paul Tassone, and Matt Nable. Rounding out the cast are Benedict Hardie, Molly Grace, Elsa Pataky, and Jacqueline McKenzie.
