Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro in October last year, but they have remained in China all this time. There is another model on the way, the Ultra, which has officially been confirmed for a global rollout – likely to be joined by the vanilla phone, the Pro is expected to stay in China.
The latest scuttlebutt is that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will launch in Europe at the end of this month and the two models will have the same base prices as last year.
Xiaomi 15
That requires some clarification – the Xiaomi 13 and 14 both cost €1,000 for the 256GB model. That’s how much the 256GB Xiaomi 15 should cost too. For now, though, we only have confirmation on the price of the 512GB variant, which is €1,100 (the same price as the 512GB versions of previous models). The vanilla phone will be available in Green, Black and White.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has 512GB as its base storage and will keep the €1,500 price tag that the previous model had. It will be available in Chrome – that’s probably not the Leica-inspired design we saw last week (that one may be a limited edition for China), instead it should look more like this.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra hands-on photo
The Ultra is expected to feature a 200MP periscope (4.3x), a 50MP telephoto (3x) module, a 50MP main camera (1” sensor) and a 50MP ultra-wide. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and a massive 6,000mAh battery. The specs of the Xiaomi 15 should be the same as those of the model sold in China.
The European launch of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra is allegedly set for February 28. However, the Ultra will most likely be unveiled in China first – rumors suggest that will happen on February 26.
