When a squad is stacked with global superstars like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham, it becomes incredibly difficult for anyone outside that trio to command regular attention.
In that environment, Brahim Diaz often finds himself overshadowed, even though he continues to work with a level of professionalism and determination that rarely gets the credit it deserves.
The Moroccan international has accepted a demanding role without showing frustration, quietly focusing on contributing whenever he is called upon.
His minutes this season tell a clear story. Across all competitions, he has played just over 400 minutes, a surprisingly modest figure considering his quality.
He has been in the starting XI only four times, against Rayo Vallecano, Juventus, Real Sociedad and Osasuna, which further highlights how stiff the competition is in Real Madrid’s frontline.
Despite such limited involvement, a report from AS maintains that he is not discouraged or contemplating giving up his fight for relevance within the squad.
Brahim is motivated as always
Instead, Brahim is said to be approaching the final part of the year with a strong sense of belief.

He knows there is a place in Xabi Alonso’s tactical plans still up for grabs, specifically on the right side of the attack.
That channel has been used by Franco Mastantuono, who has accumulated significant minutes, and more recently by Eduardo Camavinga in big matches.
Federico Valverde is also expected to appear in that sector when Alonso shifts him away from right-back. Even then, it remains an area Brahim knows well and hopes to reclaim.
A renewed sense of optimism
Following the international break, the 26-year-old has returned with renewed confidence, aiming to convince Alonso, someone he has always shared a good understanding with, that he can offer more than he has been able to show so far.
In fact, his productivity supports that belief. With a goal and two assists, he averages a direct contribution every 144 minutes.
Within the club, there is complete trust in Brahim’s potential, both in the present and for the long-term structure of the team. This confidence explains the renewal already agreed between the parties.
The fact of the matter is – Real Madrid believe in him, he remains equally committed to the club, and Alonso’s arrival has only strengthened that mutual faith.
