Italian wonderkid Samuele Inacio has signed a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund until June 2029, just days after scoring his first senior goal with the Bundesliga side: ‘I want to celebrate many more successful moments with my team.’

Promising Italian striker Inacio has signed a new deal with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, the club confirmed on Friday.

“I feel very comfortable at BVB and am proud to have made my Bundesliga debut at this great club,” Inacio said.

“The feeling of scoring my first goal in front of the Yellow Wall was incredible and I want to celebrate many more successful moments with my team, the club and its incredible fans in the future.”

The 18-year-old striker scored his first senior goal with the German club last week in a 3-2 win in the Bundesliga over Eintracht Frankfurt.

“With his skills and potential, Samu is one of the greatest talents of his age group worldwide,” said Borussia Dortmund sporting director Lars Ricken.

“We are convinced that with his dedication and quality, he can develop into an exceptional player. He is an important part of our team’s development, and that’s why we are delighted that we have been able to secure his services on a long-term basis.”

Son of former Atalanta striker Inacio Pià, Borussia Dortmund starlet Inacio was born in Italy and holds a Brazilian passport. He made his U19 Italy debut this past March, scoring a goal in his first match.

A product of the Atalanta Academy, Inacio left La Dea for Borussia Dortmund in 2024, upsetting the Serie A club.

Atalanta have expressed dissatisfaction with the deal and remain unhappy with Borussia Dortmund’s actions.

This was evident in February when Atalanta’s club directors declined to meet with their Dortmund counterparts during UEFA lunches before the first and second legs of the Champions League knockout play-off.
