Groupings and tee times for the opening round of the 108th PGA Championship, held at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

Scottie Scheffler is the pre-tournament favourite to defend his title and claim a fifth major victory, 12 months on from posting a five-shot finish at the Quail Hollow Club, with the world No 1 on the late-early half of the draw over the first two days.

Scheffler has finished runner-up in his last three worldwide starts, including at The Masters to Rory McIlroy, with the American looking to become the first back-to-back winner of the PGA Championship since Brooks Koepka’s title defence in 2019.

McIlroy is on the opposite side of the draw as he chases a second successive major, having defended his title at The Masters last month, with the Northern Irishman a previous two-time winner of the Wanamaker Trophy.

He has been grouped alongside Ryder Cup team-mate Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth, who can complete the career Grand Slam with a victory, with that marquee threeball teeing off at 8.40am local time (1.40pm UK time) on Thursday.
