Pedro Pascal lookalike winner gives interview at his workplace
Pedro Pascal lookalike contest winner, George Gountas, recently appeared on The Daily Show and was interviewed by Jon Stewart. Before beginning the interview, Stewart admitted that he had never noticed Gountas’ resemblance to Pascal prior.
Stewart asked Gountas how he entered the lookalike contest, and Gountas replied by mentioning how stage manager Tyler Goldman sent him a text about the contest, telling him to “go win a year of free burritos,” which was the prize.
He then shared how his neighbour, a stylist, offered him pants, shoes, and glasses, but told him to get a shirt.
Gountas showed up to the Pedro Pascal lookalike contest, which he had not signed up for beforehand. Upon arriving, he was told by those present at the contest that he was going to win.
Check out the interview below:
Stewart asked Gountas if he and Pedro Pascal were around the same age. Gountas replied that he was turning 43 next week and said that The Fantastic Four: First Steps actor was “a little older than” him. Pascal, who was born in 1975, is currently 50 years old.
Stewart then called Gountas “a sexier, younger Pedro Pascal,” which the latter appreciated.
Gountas’ wife, Jenny Gania, revealed to the New York Post that people started noticing Gountas’ resemblance to Pascal after Game of Thrones came out.
“Then some kids started noting it, too,” Gania said, noting that when she first came across the contest, she persuaded Gountas to go, telling him it would be his “Father’s Day treat.”
