The upcoming Peaky Blinders sequel TV show has gotten some major updates, with Barry Keoghan’s character being recast, new stars joining the show, and more.
What do we know about the Peaky Blinders sequel TV show?
Netflix has announced a ton of news regarding the upcoming show. The new series will include two six-episode seasons and follow both the original series, which ended in 2022, as well as the recently released movie, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which is now streaming on Netflix.
The new show will follow Duke Shelby, the son of Tommy Shelby, who was originally played by Conrad Khan in the sixth and final season of the show and then later played by Barry Keoghan in the recent movie, and will now be played by Jamie Bell (Rocket Man). While the last time fans saw him was a sad note, the new show will see Shelby back in Birmingham and looking to make a name for himself.

According to the show’s logline, the show takes place “a decade after World War Two” as “the race to rebuild Birmingham becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and jeopardy. At its blood-soaked heart is Duke Shelby (Jamie Bell): older, wiser, more ambitious, and most certainly more dangerous.”
Alongside Bell, the Peaky Blinders sequel series will also star Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton, Jessica Brown Findlay (Harlots, Downton Abbey), Lashana Lynch (The Day of The Jackal, No Time to Die), and Lucy Karczewski (Stereophonic) in her television debut. Much like the show and movie, the new show is created and written by Steven Knight, who is currently writing the 26th official James Bond movie, which will be directed by Denis Villeneuve.
