Introduction
The Oppo Find N5 is here, and we couldn’t be more excited. This is the foldable that promises to be revolutionary, or failing that, at least majorly evolutionary for the entire form factor.
Indeed, even at first glance, it is striking just how thin this phone is. Oppo has pulled out some true technical wizardly on this one. Not only that, but the body, despite its thinness, feels very strong and solid with practically no flex. The same goes for the hinge, which is confidence-inspiring.

And speaking of the hinge, we come to the other spectacular party trick of the Find N5 – the almost total absence of a display crease. Truly, it is really hard to spot any imperfection in the inner display surface.
The specs on the Find N5 are truly impressive through and through. You get not one but two 120Hz LTPO displays, both impressively big. The 6.6-inch cover display is particularly striking in person for its thin bezels and high screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood lies a premium new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (7-core variant), accompanied by 16GB of RAM and up to a whopping 1TB of storage. The camera system is quite impressive, too, with a 50MP main unit alongside a 50MP periscope-style telephoto and an autofocusing 8MP ultrawide. You also get two 8MP selfies – one on the inside and another one on the cover display.
Oppo has managed to cram a whopping 5,600 mAh worth of battery inside the Find N5, and it’s no slouch when it comes to charging either with 80W wired charging support and 50W wireless. The phone’s entire body is also nicely watertight with an IPX8/IPX9 ingress protection rating.
Unboxing
The Oppo Find N5 ships in a lavish two-piece box with a nice textured finish. Plenty of plastic is on the inside, mainly to securely hold the phone in place, which isn’t bad but is also not ideal from an environmental standpoint.
As far as we know, every unit will come with a leather snap-on case in the box. It mostly protects the back half of the phone, but it also has a magnetic “flap” that covers the hinge.
Not all markets will be getting a charger in the box. Those who do will have an 80W SuperVOOC adapter, which still uses a Type-A interface. Be sure to hold on to the included Type-A to Type-C USB cable as well since it appears to be proprietary with an extra pin.
