Oppo Find N3 announced with SD 8 Gen 2, triple Hasselblad camera

The Oppo Find N3 is official and better yet it will be the first horizontal foldable by the company to leave China.

The Oppo Find N3 continues the tradition of shorter and wider book-style foldables. On the outside is a 6.31-inch 2484x1116px AMOLED panel with a dynamic 10-120 Hz refresh rate. The panel has a near-conventional 20:9 aspect ratio and brings a searing up to 2,800 nits peak brightness.

Unfold the Find N3 and you get a 7.82-inch 2440x2268px display with a 1-120 Hz dynamic refresh rate and the same max brightness.

The Oppo Find N3 features the current top-of-the-line flagship chip – Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 – complete with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB. A 4,805mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging support keeps it going. Oppo says you’ll get to 100% in just 42 minutes.

The Hasselblad-braded camera setup on the Find N3 is impressive for its class. There are two selfie cameras – the 20MP on the inside and the 32MP on the cover screen. Around the back the wide unit is Sony’s new 48MP LYTIA-T808 “pixel stacked” sensor – a 1/1.43″ unit with dual-layer transistor technology – essentially a redesigned pixel architecture that promises better light sensitivity and in turn better image quality.

There’s also a 48MP 1/2″ sensor behind a 14mm f/2.2 ultrawide lens with autofocus. Then we get a zoom camera is a 64MP 1/2″ sensor with a 3x 70mm f/2.6 stabilized periscope lens. This camera enables hybrid zoom up to 6x or 145mm.

The Oppo Find N3 can accommodate up to three windows on the screen and any time – in both vertical and horizontal views. Oppo calls it a 15-inch virtual screen. Some apps support split screen view in-app – editing two documents side by side in Microsoft 365 or looking at two photos side by side in the Gallery. Per Oppo, 95% of mainstream apps support the expanded display, and you can resize the active window in a multi-window setup to your liking.

The Oppo Find N3 comes in four colors and two finishes – Black and Red have a vegan leather rear panel, while the Green and Gold feature matte glass. Interestingly, the Champagne Gold model has a color-matched camera island as well.

The Oppo Find N3 will sell in a single 16/512GB version for SGD 2,399 (€1,650, INR 145,400, converted). Pre-orders begin tomorrow.
