Official: Real Madrid name injury-hit squad to face Mallorca

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Tuesday unveiled the club’s latest matchday squad.

And it features, as expected, a whole host of high-profile absentees.

Real Madrid are primed to return to action tomorrow evening, when they welcome RCD Mallorca to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.

Los Blancos head into the matchup eyeing a bounce-back result, fresh off seeing their title hopes brought to an end at the hands of arch rivals Barcelona over the weekend.

As alluded to above, though, in efforts towards as much, Carlo Ancelotti and co. will be forced to make do without the contributions of a host of key players.

The group of players entrusted by the Real Madrid coaching staff to get the better of Mallorca was on Tuesday unveiled online.

And nowhere to be seen are any of Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy, David Alaba, Antonio Rüdiger, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Vinícius Jr, Lucas Vázquez, or Rodrygo.

This comes amid an ongoing injury crisis at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Called up by Carlo Ancelotti as a result are the likes of Mario Rivas, Chema, Yusi, and David Jiménez.
