2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf have today confirmed the arrival of Borussia Dortmund striker Jordi Paulina, for a reported €400k.
Paulina (21) has signed a contract until 2030 after returning seven goals and providing one assist in 11 league appearances for BVB II in the Regionalliga (fourth tier) this season.
Sven Mislitant, F95’s sporting director, said: “With Jordi, we have signed a very talented, mobile, robust and versatile centre forward who is eager to continue developing. We deliberately gave him a 4.5 year contract because we see great potential for development in him and he will be able to make a visible impact in the second half of the season.”
Upon his arrival, Paulina said: “A year-and-a-half ago, I was still playing in the fourth division in the Netherlands, this step up to the 2. Bundesliga means a lot to me. I am very proud to wear the Fortuna jersey and to play in this great stadium. I am really looking forward to the fans and will work hard so that I can help my team as soon as possible.”
Paulina has featured just eight minutes for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
