Ocean’s 14 has received a promising update from actor Andy Garcia.
Garcia played Terry Benedict in Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s franchise, which includes 2001’s Ocean’s Eleven, 2004’s Ocean’s Twelve, and Ocean’s Thirteen. While the series continued in 2018 with an Ocean’s 8 spin-off movie, there could potentially be an Ocean’s Fourteen at some point in the future.
In January 2025, Jeff Sneider’s TheInSneider was the first to report that The Fall Guy’s David Leitch was in talks to direct Ocean’s 14. There’s been little news about the project since then; however, Garcia is now saying that it’s just a matter of figuring out everyone’s schedules before the project becomes a reality.
What did Andy Garcia say about Ocean’s 14?
“That seems to be — that’s more than a whisper, I think,” he told Collider. “I think they’re just finding the time where everybody can do it, I think. Or specifically, I guess, Brad [Pitt] and George [Clooney]. But yeah, it’s out there.”
There was also supposed to be an Ocean’s prequel project set in 1960s Europe with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling; however, updates on that film have been few and far between, and it now seems unclear as to whether or not it’s still happening.
Soderbergh’s Ocean’s movies feature a massive cast, including Clooney as Danny Ocean, Pitt as Robert “Rusty” Ryan, Matt Damon as Linus Caldwell, Julia Roberts as Tess Ocean, Don Cheadle as Basher Tarr, Elliott Gould as Reuben Tishkoff, Casey Affleck as Virgil Malloy, Scott Caan as Turk Malloy, Eddie Jemison as Livingston Dell, Qin Shaobo as Yen, Carl Reiner as Saul Bloom, and Bernie Mac as Frank Catton.
Plot details for Ocean’s 14 remain under wraps at this time, and no release date has yet been announced. Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve, and Ocean’s Thirteen are all currently available to stream on Netflix, while Ocean’s 8 can be viewed on Roku.
