New round of BL test for teachers set

The second round of the Basic Law & National Security Law Test (BLNST) in the 2023-24 school year is scheduled for December 3 and applications can be made from October 13 to 26, the Education Bureau announced today.

Target participants for this round of the BLNST are bachelor’s degree holders, or those who will attain a bachelor’s degree in the 2023-24 or 2024-25 academic year, and plan to join or change to another secondary school, primary school or kindergarten to take up a teaching post.

Limited places for the test will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those who have obtained a pass result in a test organised by the Education Bureau, the Civil Service Bureau or recruiting departments, or grades for degree holders will not be accepted to sit for it again.

Arrangements for another three rounds of the test, to be held in April, June and July 2024, will be announced in due course.
