BINGHAMTON (WBNG) –Mercy House of the Southern Tier hosted a Mother’s Day Tea event at the Doubletree in Binghamton on Sunday.
The fundraiser was done in honor of Cheryl Monachino, who died of cancer at age 59. She was President of the Mercy House Board and spent her last days at the Mercy House in Endicott.
The Mercy House is a non-profit organization that provides support and a home to people who have terminal illnesses and can’t stay at home any longer.
Raffles were held, along with wine pulls and even face-painting for children. Participants at the event were served tea and cookies.
Funds raised will go to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
