The much anticipated MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ is now official, and as expected, it’s a minor improvement over the 9400 which was launched last year. The Dimensity 9400+’s CPU has one ARM Cortex-X925 core clocked at up to 3.73 GHz, higher than the 3.63 GHz of the 9400.
So basically, it seems like the 9400+ is a higher-bin 9400. While the NPU 890 is still in, it now comes with 20% faster agentic AI performance with Speculative Decoding+ and lets developers easily turn traditional AI applications into “sophisticated agentic AI applications” because “agentic AI” is the buzzword of early 2025 and MediaTek couldn’t miss the train on that one.
Those are all the differences from the 9400. So you’re still getting three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores, support for LPDDR5X RAM at a maximum frequency of 10,667Mbps, support for UFS 4 storage, Sub6 5G, GPS/BeiDou/Glonass/Galileo/QZSS/NavIC, Wi-Fi 7 with 7.3 Gbps peak data rate, Bluetooth 6.0 with 12 Mbps peak data rate, maximum camera sensor resolution of 320 MP and 8K60 video recording, as well as support for displays up to WQHD+ resolution and 180 Hz refresh rate. The Immortalis-G925MC12 GPU is unchanged as well.
Both the Oppo Find X8s and Find X8s+ use the Dimensity 9400+, and the upcoming vivo X200s will as well.
