Maura breaks down screaming ‘I can’t’ over spiders trial

Hair-raising scenes capture the chilling screams of Maura Higgins in Tuesday’s I’m a Celebrity‘s trial.

Taking part in Fright at the End of the Tunnel are Higgins and Loose Women star Jane Moore. They must work together to win stars for camp through water and creepy crawlies.

Tense scenes show the former Love Island star breaking down as she is about to crawl through a tunnel packed with huge spiders. She screams: “No! Spiders! I don’t know if I can do it. There’s an awful amount of spiders. Oh my God, no, no I can’t.”

From the sidelines, Ant and Dec try to keep Higgins calm and tell her to focus on her breathing ahead of diving into the spiders.

After much begging from the Geordie presenters, viewers finally voted for different people to take on a Bushtucker trial. Albeit still screaming and shrieking, Dean McCullough got 10 stars for camp which marked his new personal best.

It was the radio star’s sixth Bushtucker trial in the series. How will the other celebrities fare in the trial situation?

All of the celebrities get a taster of what a trial is really like when they climb aboard the fright bus. They have the chance to win some luxuries but they must battle the bugs first.

  • I’m a Celebrity stars go for thrilling ride on fright bus

The I’m a Celebrity campers got a taste of what doing a Bushtucker trial is really like when they boarded the fright bus.

After enjoying their dinner, celebrities were invited onto the bus to win treats for camp in Monday’s episode. It was explained: “Tonight, you will all have the chance to win treats. However, to be in with a chance of winning, you will all need to take a trip on The Fright Bus!”

They have the chance to win luggage, each containing essentials or a tasty snack.

All they have to do is endure the bus and work in their rows to escape. Unfortunately those sat further back must ride for the longest. Poor Maura Higgins!

Dean McCullough was finally not voted to do the Tuesday Bushtucker trial.

Monday’s episode saw the radio star take on his sixth trial. It was a huge amount of trials because there have only been nine so far this series.

McCullough has been shrieking and screaming in fear while taking on each of the challenges. His lowest record number of stars was zero when he was teamed up with GK Barry.

During the six trials, he even cried out “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here” twice. No, not because of insects or heights. The first time he used the infamous words were because of sand. The second time was because of fish guts.

McCullough made a plea to viewers not to vote for him to do the next trial and to give someone else a go. He then went onto secure 10 stars, impressing Ant and Dec.

Even the Geordie hosts have begged for viewers to vote for other celebrities to do trials. They joked they knew McCullough “too well” from seeing him at all the trials.

I’m a Celebrity‘s Coleen Rooney and her rival Rebekah Vardy “run the real risk” of falling out and even going back to court, lawyers told Yahoo.

Legal experts Christian Smith, Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution at Seddons LLP, and David Wright, Associate at Seddons LLP, told Yahoo: “Whilst you may have thought Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy would have both wished to move on after their bruising litigation this new very public discussion about each other runs the real risk that they could find themselves falling out very badly again and yet again facing each other in court.”

Rooney accused Rebekah Vardy’s Instagram account for leaking information about her life to the press and she got the nickname “Wagatha Christie“. Vardy sued her for libel but a judge at the High Court found Rooney’s viral post to be “substantially true” in 2022. The latest in the long-running saga has seen Vardy appeal in November a recent ruling on Rooney’s legal costs.

Wagatha Christie — a term trademarked by Vardy — is back in the news as Rooney is the biggest I’m a Celebrity signing this year, rumoured to getting £1.5m for the stint.
