A man died after he was shot in the head Saturday morning outside a Queens laundromat, cops said.
Dominick Lowery, 31, of nearby St. Albans, was shot in front of Wash & Fold Super Laundry at the Conduit Plaza shopping strip around 8:37 a.m. near Springfield Blvd. and 144th Ave. in Laurelton.
EMS rushed him to Jamaica Hospital where he was in critical condition. Lowery was on life support for a few hours before being pronounced dead, according to police.
No arrest has been made and police did not provide information on a possible suspect.
“I heard a pop, I come to the front of the door and I see a guy in green camo running,” a man named Mohammad who works at a nearby Edible Arrangements shop said Saturday after the shooting.
“I thought this was a safe area but it’s making me second guess,” he added.

Another man, Asim, said witnessing the incident was traumatizing.
“I heard the gunshot and I thought I was imagining, and usually planes fly overhead, so I thought it was the planes malfunctioning,” he said. “I saw the victim’s mother crying and screaming and I was like, heck is actually happening.
“It was scary, very scary and I was all teared up seeing the mother and the young man on the ground,” he said. “I wanted to just go home because it hurt me so much.”
Saturday evening, the laundromat was back open for business, after having been closed till 4 p.m. for the police investigation, according to a worker there. He said the shooting occurred outside in the parking lot and that, from what he knew, was not connected to the laundromat. The people involved weren’t customers and had not come inside, he said.
People doing their laundry there were stunned by the shooting in the usually safe area. Some had only learned about it after seeing it on the news on the place’s TV.
One man said that, as he was stuffing his clothes into one of the machines, he suddenly realized, to his shock, that he was in the same laundromat they were talking about.
“I just saw it on TV and I was, like, confused,” he said. “Honestly, just, it can happen anywhere.”
