Job fair to be held in Fanling


The North District Recruitment & Training Expo 2023, offering over 4,100 job vacancies, will be held at Wo Hing Sports Centre in Fanling on October 13, the Labour Department announced today.

 

About 50 organisations will set up booths to recruit staff, while seven training bodies will provide information on their training courses.

 

The positions being hired for include accounts clerk, clerk, interior designer, visual merchandiser, assistant engineer, business manager, laboratory technician, graphic and multimedia designer, video editor and photographer, cinema executive, property officer, technician, traffic controller, beauty advisor trainee, waiter/waitress, and cook.

 

Jobseekers can submit applications and may be selected for interviews during the expo. They can also enquire about employment services at the Labour Department’s on-site counter.

 

Around 78% of the positions available are full-time jobs. Most offer monthly salaries ranging from $12,000 to $21,000.

 

About 97% of the vacancies require a Secondary 6 education level or below, depending on the job, and around 73% are open to people without relevant work experience.

 

The expo will be held from 11am to 5.30pm and is free of charge. Visitors should enter the venue no later than 5pm.
