Jennifer Lawrence got candid about her relationship with Cooke Maroney. The actress recently sat down for an interview on the SmartLess podcast. During the discussion, she revealed the reason behind her successful marriage to the art gallery director.

At the SmartLess podcast by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Jennifer Lawrence opened up about how she and Cooke Maroney have dealt with their marriage. The Hunger Games star stated, “I married somebody who is the opposite of me. He is so organized.” The 35-year-old also said how “everything is ordered.” “Like, I have to keep the closet doors closed, and I have my little jobs that I work really hard to do,” Lawrence continued.
The actress also shared how difficult it was for her to maintain the schedule. However, she understood its importance especially after becoming a mother. “I get it now, I get it,” Lawrence noted, explaining, “[The kids are] on a very strict schedule. You know, it’s like breakfast, 7:30.” Moreover, she said how her husband “good at keeping [the family] schedule,” while she tends to struggle.
“But we’ve learned to keep our marriage alive, I have a 15-minute wiggle room,” she spoke regarding the couple. As such, host Jason Bateman said, “You can’t be held to the precise times, otherwise the marriage is going to suffer.” Additionally, Lawrence shared how she identifies “as a stay-at-home mom.” She stated, “I identify as a stay-at-home mom. But I am obviously working.”
Lawrence added how she is “not used to being busy like this,” and she normally has “a busy three months while I’m filming.” However, “even in that sense, it’s calm because there is nothing else to do. I just go to work, come home, sleep, and then I do it again,” she continued. Lawrence also said, “And then, for two weeks, you promote. It is hectic.” Additionally, she likes being “an ice hockey mom,” as Maloney grew up playing the game. Lawrence stated her son Cy and her husband “play together in the house.”
