Jared Leto has legions of diehard fans but it appears some celebrities are less than convinced about the Hollywood megastar.
The American actor, 53, made headlines this week after British talk show host Alex Jones accused him of being ‘so full of himself’ while appearing on The One Show.
Speaking on the Netmums Podcast, Alex admitted Jared – who appeared on the show in April 2022 – was her least favourite guest to interview.
She told hosts Wendy Golledge and Alison Perry: ‘Jared Leto was dressed as one of the Three Musketeers and he had all this, I don’t know, Gucci, big shirt, sleeves billowing. I mean, he was so full of himself.
‘And I thought, no, no, no, no. Our audience are nice people and, they deserve better than this. And, ok, you might be like a huge celebrity star and you’ve done all these films, but it doesn’t cost to be polite and nice.
‘Anybody who can’t bring those simple skills to the table, I’m out. I’m like, no, sorry, you’ve not been brought up well, then.’
It is not the first time Jared has butted heads with other celebrities during his career, as some notable names have said some very choice words about him in the past.
Here, MailOnline takes a look at all of Jared’s celebrity feuds and clashes after Alex’s shock verdict on his demeanour.

DAMNING TAYLOR SWIFT REMARKS
Jared famously got on the wrong side of Swifties when a video leaked of him saying he didn’t ‘give a f**k’ about Taylor Swift and her music.
Back in 2015, video footage obtained by TMZ showed the musician listening to Taylor’s 1989 album for inspiration before delivering a damning verdict.
‘I don’t give a f**k about her. It’s whatever works best for us,’ he was heard saying, though the video appeared to be heavily edited.
During the listening session, he was quick to dismiss Welcome To New York by saying: ‘Oh, I don’t like this at all. Next,’ but appeared to be more won over by Blank Space.
Finishing the listening party with Style, Jared called the single an ‘interesting little pop song’ before making his shock ‘f**k her’ remark.
However, the video appeared to be heavily edited as it jumped around and, as it was a listening session for inspiration, Jared was likely talking about the process as opposed to specifically having an issue with Taylor.
Yet the rocker’s less than flattering remarks about Taylor’s music still sparked a huge backlash from fans at the time.
Amid the furore, Jared then took to social media to apologise as he did a U-turn on his remarks and said he only has praise for Taylor.
He wrote on Twitter: ‘The truth is I think @taylorswift13 is amazing + an incredible example of what’s possible. If I hurt her or her fans my sincerest apologies.’

SLIDING INTO YOUNG MODELS’ DMS
Dylan Sprouse seemingly blasted Jared for sliding into younger models’ DMs on social media back in 2018.
The Disney star appeared to accuse the actor of attempting to hookup with a slew of youthful and good looking girls in a snide Twitter post.
‘Yo @JaredLeto now that you’ve slid into the dms of every female model aged 18-25, what would you say your success rate is?’ he wrote.
Though it seemed like the actor was voicing his distaste, it’s possible he was seeking dating advice from the Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman.
In the past, Jared has been romantically linked to famous names including Cameron Diaz and Scarlett Johansson.

MARGOT ROBBIE RAT CONTROVERSY
Jared was previously forced to deny that he had sent Margot Robbie a dead rat while they starred together on Suicide Squad.
Jared is known for his wild method acting techniques and rumours circulated that he had sent Margot a love letter with a black box that had a rat in it, as well as gifting his other co-stars presents including a dead hog and Playboy magazines.
Amid the rumours, Margot clarified that she was sent a live rat alongside a letter as part of an ongoing joke among the cast, which saw Jared send them gifts he thought The Joker would send.
‘I was… surprised! There’s an understatement,’ she told Shortlist of the prank.
Their co-star Viola Davis also commented on the incident and clarified that the rat was very much alive and was not a fearful thing for Margot to receive.
‘I was saying loudly, ”Don’t open the box!” I was halfway out the door when [Margot] opened the box and saw the biggest black rat you could imagine,’ Viola shared in 2021.
‘Then… she cooed at it. No fear. Open. Receptive. Full of joy.’
Commenting on the rumours, Jared – who starred as The Joker – denied that he ever sent Margot – who played his love interest Harley Quinn – a dead animal.

Speaking to GQ in 2021, Jared bluntly said: ‘I never gave Margot Robbie a dead rat, that’s not true.’
He then remarked that, on the contrary, he did send the actress numerous pastries during the production of the film.
‘I actually gave her a lot of… I found this place in Toronto that had a great vegan cinnamon bun… so that was a very common thing,’ he said.
‘It’s funny how all this stuff takes on a life of its own.’
It was also rumoured that he sent condoms, ‘sticky Playboy magazines’, sex toys, bullets and a dead hog to his co-stars, though Jared has denied some of these claims and clarified that it was all part of an ongoing joke with his colleagues.
Adam Beach, who played Slipknot in the film, told how Jared sent Will Smith ‘bullets’ alongside a letter and posted the cast a dead hog alongside a video message.
He said: ‘Basically, what he said was, ”Guys, I can’t be there but I want you to know I’m doing my work as hard as you guys”.
‘The video he showed is in character. It blew our minds away. Then we realized that day, this is real.’

Margot herself then confirmed that it was a live rat as she shared her ‘surprise’ over receiving it, with Jared going on to deny he had ever sent her a dead animal
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played Killer Croc, added: ‘That was a good gift because it had the effect of unifying us as a group because then it became us against him.’
It was also claimed that he sent condoms to his castmates, but Jared has since firmly denied the rumours.
‘There were some things that were mentioned about gifts and the fact that I was giving used condoms to people, which was not true. It was not true,’ he insisted.
However, he did confess to giving his co-stars some wild presents as he explained they had plotted for him to give them presents that he thought The Joker would send.
‘I gave wrapped gifts to everyone, and people were thrilled to get them. They were laughing. We were giving whatever The Joker would give was the idea,’ he said.
‘It was really touching at the end to go and give the gifts. We’d be filming and people would be laughing, and they’d go and open up and there’d be a porno magazine or something, you know, “plus 60”.
‘It would be whatever would be funny. You know, whatever would be absurd or outrageous.’
He insisted the gifts were simply given out ‘in good fun’ and were never supposed to have become as big of a deal as they did.

It was also rumoured that he sent condoms, ‘sticky Playboy magazines’, sex toys, bullets and a dead hog to his co-stars, though Jared denied some of the claims
‘It was kind of like an art project. We were all like, putting together in the trailer,’ he clarified.
Margot has also revealed what it was like working with Jared, revealing she wasn’t supposed to refer to him by his real name because of his method acting techniques.
She described him as ‘kind of terrifying’ but insisted he is also ‘really lovely’ and said it was an ‘incredible’ experience to act alongside him.
‘When I first heard that he was method (acting), and that we couldn’t refer to him as Jared and things like that, I started to panic a bit because I’m in an abusive relationship with this guy who thinks he is the character,’ she shared.
‘I was worried I’d get beat up on set. But he’s respectful, professional, and lovely.’
HECKLED OVER PLAYING TRANSGENDER CHARACTER
Jared courted controversy when he played the transgender character Rayon in the 2013 hit Dallas Buyers Club.
He was heckled by two women during the Virtuosos Awards at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival over his role in the movie.
The star was in a Q&A session with Fandango’s Dave Karger at the Arlington Theatre, when a woman shouted from the audience: ‘Trans-misogyny does not deserve an award.’
Engaging with the woman, Jared then asked her what she meant by her comment, to which she answered: ‘You don’t deserve to play a trans-woman.’

‘Because I’m a man, I don’t deserve to play that part?’ Jared replied. ‘So you want to hold a role against someone who happened to be gay or lesbian – they can’t play a straight part?’
The woman then argued that ‘historically straight-gender people always play transgender people, and all of them received awards and credit for it’.
Jared said: ‘Then you make sure that people that are gay, people that aren’t straight, people like the Rayons of the world, would never have the opportunity to turn the tables and explore parts of that art,’ and offered to continue with the chat backstage.
Though his casting sparked backlash, he went on to win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role at the 86th Academy Awards.
