Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif often inspires her followers with her dance moves, witty quotes and her discipline in fitness. Her husband Vicky Kaushal once said that whenever she is preparing for a dance sequence in a film, she becomes a ‘beast,’ as she gives it her all, both choreography and fitness-wise. She famously told her fitness instructor Yasmin Karachiwala, while preparing for the ‘chikni chameli’ dance number, that if ‘anything jiggles, I will go on national TV and say you are not a good instructor.’ Recently, Katrina’s nutritionist Shwetha Sha revealed more about the actress’ healthy lifestyle and nutrient-rich-diet at the age of 41.

An Ayurvedic-diet
Katrina follows a simple diet based on nutrient-dense food items. Moreover, the actress who believes in the healing and rejuvenating power of Ayurveda incorporates it into her diet and lifestyle. She apparently prefers nutritious homecooked meals over store-bought food or eating out. Katrina eats only two meals daily and often carries homecooked meals to her workplace as well. She also enjoys having the same food for longer periods. Meanwhile, Katrina also makes sure to sleep and wake up early to start the day on a refreshing note. As her body has pitta rasa(In Ayurveda, pitta rasa is linked to salty, spicy and sour flavours that influence metabolism), she mostly includes food that supports her metabolism in her diet. The actress snacks on black grapes that have amazing antioxidant properties. Meanwhile, she consumes fennel seeds, too, for good digestion.

Drinks that keep her hydrated
Fresh juices are a main part of Katrina’s daily diet. She reportedly drinks a bottle of gourd juice every day to eliminate the toxins from the body. Besides, she also adds gooseberries, mint leaves and coriander leaves in her rejuvenating juices. Oil pulling and nasal cleansing are some of the ayurvedic practices the actress follows daily. These practices flush out toxins from the body while ensuring oral health. Shwetha says that the actress maintains her energy throughout the day by eating nutritious food and following a healthy lifestyle.
