The House of Representatives has granted travel clearance to Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte for his personal trip to 16 countries and Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China.
Based on the travel clearance, a copy of which was secured by GMA News Online, issued by House Secretary General Reginald Velasco, Duterte will go to the following destinations from March 20 to May 10, 2025:
- Hong Kong
- People’s Republic of China
- Malaysia
- Indonesia
- Republic of Korea
- Japan
- Vietnam
- Cambodia
- United States of America
- Australia
- United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
- Netherlands
- Germany
- France
- Belgium
- Italy and
- Singapore
“As requested, travel clearance is hereby granted to the Honorable Paolo Z. Duterte, Representative, 1st District, Davao City, in connection with his personal trip,” the travel clearance read.

Duterte’s father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is currently detained in The Hague, Netherlands over alleged crimes against humanity due to drug war and Davao Death Squad murders from 2011 and 2019.
Former President Duterte’s only immediate family in the Netherlands is his daughter and Rep. Paolo’s sister, Vice President Sara Duterte.
The former president was arrested in the Philippines by local authorities last March 11 based on an ICC warrant of arrest. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
