Honor is rumored to be skipping the number 4 and going from the Magic V3 which launched last year to the Magic V5 which we’re expecting in a few weeks (blame tetraphobia).
Now a new rumor out of China purportedly shares the Magic V5’s colorways, and one stands out – gold. It used to be all the rage many years ago, then it fell out of fashion, and while you can still find hints of it here and there, it’s been a while since we’ve had a properly shiny gold smartphone.

Aside from the blingy colorway, there will also be three other options: black, white, and Dunhuang, which is interesting because it’s the name of a city.
A past leak from the same source claimed the Magic V5 would come with a 6,100 mAh battery with support for 66W wired charging. Other rumors have said it would be under 9 mm thick, retaking the thinness crown from the Oppo Find N5, and it should come with a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera apparently, an 8-inch folding screen, a 6.45-inch cover display, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC at the helm.
