Hong Kong Cantopop singer Keung To has been fined HK$2,200 (US$280) for careless driving, running a red light and failing to display a probationary sign on his car while driving.
Court documents show that the member of the popular boy band Mirror had been charged after ramming his car into railings on Caine Road last November and running a red light at a junction in Kennedy Town a month later.
The 26-year-old singer, who reportedly obtained his probationary driving licence in February last year, did not appear in Eastern Court on Monday but was represented by a lawyer.
Keung was charged with one count of careless driving for the incident on Caine Road. A case summary states that he rammed the front side of his vehicle into a railing at around 4.14am on November 28.
Both his car and the railing were damaged, although there were no casualties.
Keung reportedly told a police officer at the scene that he had been reaching for his cap in the rear compartment of the car while the vehicle was in motion, causing it to collide with the railing on the pavement.
He was fined HK$1,000 for careless driving on Monday.
