From theme park fun and scenic island tours, to football matches with iconic clubs and colourful festivals, the 2025 Hong Kong Summer Viva promises endless excitement for all kinds of travellers.
Hong Kong Disneyland marks its 20th anniversary this year, and the full celebration starts June 28. Visitors can expect many special activities and souvenirs at the park, one of which is an exclusive postcard – a collaboration with the Hong Kong Tourism Board – that you can mail from there.
Meanwhile, Ocean Park will also kick off its summer fun with the Summer Splash 2025, running from July 5 to Aug 24. This family-friendly fiesta celebrates the first birthday of the park’s beloved panda twins, Jia Jia and De De.
Visitors can meet the bears, participate in the many water-themed activities and when the sun sets, head to the Water World for a beachside party.

If you’re a football fan, particularly an English Premier League or Serie A fan, then the Hong Kong Football Festival is right up your alley. Two major matches will be held at the newly-minted stadium at Kai Tak Sports Park: Liverpool FC vs AC Milan (on July 26), and Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur (July 31).
Fans can also attend the clubs’ open training sessions: Liverpool on July 24, AC Milan on July 25, Tottenham Hostpur on July 29, and Arsenal on July 30. These training will be held at Kai Tak Stadium, except for AC Milan, which will take place at the Hong Kong Stadium.
For Cristiano Ronaldo supporters, don’t miss the Asia debut of the CR7 Life Museum at K11 Musea from July 7. This exhibit gives you a peek into the professional and personal life of the Portuguese football legend.
Books lovers
Meanwhile, from July 16 to 22, the Hong Kong Book Fair will take place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Themed “Food Culture, Future Living”, the event features talks by selected authors, exhibitions and signing.
Of course, there’ll also be tons of books for visitors to browse through and buy.
The same venue will host the five-day Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong, where anime, gaming and cosplay take over, from July 25 to 29.
