Hong Kong Disneyland is never late for holidays and parties, including the Chinese New Year. Starting this month, it’s welcoming the Year of the Horse with festivals and a special ticket deal exclusive to local residents.
Disneyland’s ‘Happier Together’ advance purchase deal gives HKID holders a 25% discount on regular one-day tickets and additional perks when visiting in groups of more than two people. This offer runs from January 24 to May 3, with purchase available starting January 21.

How to celebrate Chinese New Year at Hong Kong Disneyland

Under the deal, visitors are recommended to book the ticket three days in advance. Eligible guests include Hong Kong residents with valid HKID cards, or children aged 3 to 11 with birth certificates plus a recent school handbook with photo ID.
Alongside a saving of 25% on ticket prices, the offer comes with extra discounts for shopping and dining vouchers. This includes a 10% discount for a single transaction with a net total spending of HKD 350 (approximately USD 44) or above at any merchandise store in the Park, and a HKD 10 (approximately USD 1) discount for a minimum net spending of HKD 100 (approximately USD 12) or above in a single transaction at Midtown Delights in the Park.
What to expect during the festival

During the festive period, guests can enjoy special Chinese New Year decorations throughout Hong Kong Disneyland, meet characters dressed in traditional outfits, and experience seasonal encounters such as a meet-and-greet with Bullseye from Toy Story at Toy Story Land. Later in the Lunar New Year, visitors can pick up a complimentary Disney-themed red packet filled with treats and surprises.
In addition to the ticket deal, Hong Kong Disneyland is offering a range of limited-time merchandise and foodie experiences. A highlight is the “Disney Chinese New Year Lucky Magic Bag” with curated themed goods and collectable cards. There are also plush toys and festive keepsakes designed to celebrate the Year of the Horse.
Most importantly, the festival isn’t just about celebrating the Lunar New Year. Visitors can also celebrate Valentine’s Day as well as the Park’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
