HIMA Disrupts the Market: Five New Models Target Wide Price Range from 200,000 to 700,000 Yuan

Gasgoo Munich- On April 22, at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Sports Center, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) staged a massive spring product launch—marking yet another comprehensive offensive in the smart vehicle sector.

Richard Yu—Huawei’s executive director, chairman of the Product Investment Review Committee, and head of Consumer BG—took the stage personally to unveil five new models in a single sweep: the Shangjie Z7, Shangjie Z7T, AITO M6, Luxeed V9, and the all-new AITO M9. Spanning coupes, shooting brakes, SUVs, and MPVs, the lineup covers a price range from 219,800 to 669,800 yuan.

This is far more than a routine product update. With competition in the smart vehicle sector intensifying, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance is deploying a “sea of cars” strategy—flooding the market with models to rapidly build a full-scenario matrix across multiple segments. From youth-oriented coupes priced around 200,000 yuan to flagship SUVs and MPVs exceeding 500,000 yuan, the alliance is working to forge a complete product chain spanning entry-level to ultra-premium tiers.

More importantly, the event marked the official debut of five core technology pillars: Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving, Huawei Harmony Cockpit, Huawei Tuling Platform, Huawei DriveONE, and the Huawei Whale Battery Platform. Notably, Huawei DriveONE is a newly announced addition.

According to Yu, a sixth core technology—Huawei Intelligent Connectivity—exists, though it wasn’t showcased this time. The synergy between systematic technology rollout and mass product deployment formed the central logic of the conference.

The Shangjie Duo: Full Standard Equipment at the 200,000 Yuan Level

The SAIC Z7 and Z7T were the heavy hitters of the event, positioned as a C-class pure-electric coupe and a pure-electric shooting brake, respectively, targeting younger consumers.

On pricing, the SAIC Z7 offers three trims: the Max at 219,800 yuan, Max+ at 249,800 yuan, and Ultra at 299,800 yuan. The Z7T shooting brake variant carries a 10,000 yuan premium across the lineup, ranging from 229,800 to 309,800 yuan.

The official pricing for the SAIC Z7 is 10,000 yuan lower than its pre-sale figures across all trims. Compared to the new Xiaomi SU7, the mid and low trims are 100 yuan cheaper, while the top trim undercuts by 4,100 yuan—a pricing strategy that signals a precise reading of the competitive landscape.

In terms of design, the Z7 measures 5,036 mm long, 1,976 mm wide, and 1,465 mm high, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase—standard dimensions for a C-class luxury sedan. The exterior features smooth, uninterrupted continuous surfaces, with paint finishes matching those found on million-yuan luxury vehicles. The headlights house over 600 light points, while the taillights utilize a star-diamond cut design with more than 4,700 crystal particles, creating a visually striking sense of technology and luxury.

As the shooting brake variant, the Z7T retains the Z7’s dimensions but adopts a fastback silhouette with fluid, dynamic lines. It preserves the agility of a coupe while offering the practicality of a shooting brake, leaning heavily into an outdoor leisure aesthetic.

For personalization, both models offer 10 exterior colors, 5 interior schemes, 8 wheel designs, and 3 brake caliper options, all available from launch day. Selected paint finishes utilize the 5C2B coating process found in luxury vehicles.

Regarding power and range, the Max version houses an 82 kWh battery with a CLTC range of 732 km. The Max+ upgrades to a 100 kWh ternary lithium battery, extending the CLTC range to 905 km and adding air suspension. The Ultra performance version features all-wheel drive with a combined output of 434 kW, accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.44 seconds.

The chassis uses a front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension structure across the lineup. Higher trims offer an optional air suspension and CDC electromagnetic damping system. All models feature the 800V high-voltage platform as standard, supporting a 5-minute fast charge that adds over 200 km of range. The Z7T variants offer slightly different ranges: the Max version is rated at 712 km CLTC, while the Max+ reaches 873 km.

Market response has been intense. Official data shows the duo secured 12,000 firm orders within 27 minutes. Jia Jianxu, president of SAIC Motor, revealed in a video message that real-time pre-orders for the Shangjie Z7 (including the Z7T) have already surpassed 80,000 units. Huawei also announced actor Xiao Zhan as the brand ambassador, further boosting its influence among younger consumers. Deliveries are expected to begin in late May, according to Yu.

AITO M6 Surpasses 10,000 Orders; M9 and V9 Anchor the Lineup

Positioned as a “smart avant-garde SUV,” the AITO M6 targets young families in the mid-to-large five-seat SUV market. Four trims were launched: the EREV Max+ at 259,800 yuan, EREV Ultra at 279,800 yuan, EV Max+ Long Range at 279,800 yuan, and EV Ultra at 299,800 yuan. Deliveries began immediately upon launch.

Just 15 minutes after the launch, Yu announced that firm orders for the AITO M6 had surpassed 10,000 units. He revealed that selected inventory vehicles based on popular configurations were prepared, with some customers taking delivery as early as the May Day holiday; test drive vehicles also arrived at stores simultaneously. He Liyang, president of Seres Auto, announced at the event that AITO sales have exceeded 1 million units over the past five years, with R&D investment surpassing 10 billion yuan.

Regarding dimensions, the AITO M6 measures 4,960 mm long, 1,985 mm wide, and 1,736 mm high, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. It is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV with a five-seat interior layout.

The exterior features “Thousand-Face Crystal” headlights with diamond-cut light sources. The paint utilizes micron-level high-brightness aluminum powder and a coating system shared with million-yuan luxury vehicles, offering seven colors including Vitality Orange, Flowing Green, and Day-Night Purple. The interior is available in four styles: Purple Admiration White, Gravity Red, Electric Orange, and Elegant Apricot.

Space is a core selling point for the AITO M6. Interior height approaches 1.91 meters, with second-row legroom nearing 1 meter and headroom exceeding 1 meter. Yu claimed this spatial performance far surpasses that of million-yuan large SUVs.

Front dual zero-gravity seats feature ten-layer padding, eight-point massage, and ventilation with heating. The passenger seat offers an “Inspiration Window Mode” with a magnetic base and adaptive ambient lighting, allowing owners to display photos or figurines; optional upgrades include a color e-ink photo frame and rhythmic fragrance diffusers. Second-row seats come standard with large-angle electric adjustment, extra-long cushions, and ventilation with heating.

The central control screen uses a “sunflower” design that rotates 15 degrees and extends 50 mm, with an optional 17.3-inch 3K roof-mounted entertainment screen. The 21-speaker HUAWEI SOUND system is standard. A vehicle-mounted compressor fridge offers 7.3 liters of capacity, while the trunk provides 840 liters of space, including a hidden compartment beneath the floor and 10 threaded points for installing accessories.

Powertrain options include pure electric and extended-range versions. The EV version features a single motor with 227 kW max output or a dual-motor setup with 340 kW combined output; both come standard with a 100 kWh battery, offering CLTC ranges of 760 km and 705 km, respectively. The EREV version uses a 1.5T engine and standard dual-motor all-wheel drive, with a combined maximum output of 345 kW and a total range of 1,605 km.

The chassis comes standard with air suspension and CDC continuous variable damping shock absorbers. Powered by the Huawei Tuling Platform 3.0, impact sensation is reduced by over 50%, and vibration filtering improves by more than 30%. The braking distance from 100 km/h is just over 30 meters, wading depth is 700 mm, and the turning radius is 5.5 meters.

Intelligent driving comes standard with 36 perception sensors and an 896-line LiDAR, equipped with the omni-directional Collision Avoidance System (CAS) 4.0, supporting full-scenario assisted driving and parking functions.

According to data released by Yu, pre-orders for the M9 surpassed 11,500 units within the first hour.

The standard version measures 5,285 mm long, 2,026 mm wide, and 1,845 mm high, with a 3,125 mm wheelbase. The Ultimate Long Wheelbase version measures 5,402 mm long with a 3,236 mm wheelbase, offering “Premium 4-seat,” “Large 5-seat,” and “Enjoy 6-seat” layout options.

The new model features the latest Tuling fully active chassis platform, built on a new fusion architecture for intelligent preview and control. It adopts a new “Gemini” full-redundancy architecture with over 30 redundancy designs.

In terms of power, it sports the new Huawei DriveONE dual-silicon carbide electric drive system with an operating efficiency of 93.5% and a combined output exceeding 900 horsepower, debuting Huawei’s latest Whale Battery Platform. For intelligent driving, it features the “most powerful to date” fusion perception and control decision system, equipped with a 6-LiDAR stereo matrix and the all-new ADS 5.

智界V9.jpg

As Harmony Intelligent Mobility’s first flagship MPV, the Luxeed V9 is officially positioned as the “MPV Tech King.” Pre-orders opened on April 22 with a starting price of 399,800 yuan. According to official sources, order volume surpassed 12,500 units within the first hour.

The V9 rides on the flagship Series 9 Huawei Tuling MPV-custom platform, utilizing front double-wishbone and rear H-arm multi-link suspension. Rear-axle steering is standard across the lineup, with a maximum steering angle of ±7 degrees and a minimum turning radius of just 5.35 meters.

Regarding safety, 13 airbags covering all three rows are standard, including the debut of an omni-directional wrapping airbag, paired with features like Pre-Crash seat retraction. The Huawei Snow Owl intelligent range extender system provides a maximum CLTC comprehensive range of over 1,250 km.

Five Technologies, A Systemic War

Beyond the dense product rollout, the event’s most critical strategic signal was the unveiling of Harmony Intelligent Mobility’s five core technology matrices: Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving, Huawei Harmony Cockpit, Huawei Tuling Platform, Huawei DriveONE, and the Huawei Whale Battery Platform. These five technology brands form a complete closed loop ranging from perception and decision-making, human-vehicle interaction, and chassis control to powertrain and battery safety.

Huawei DriveONE, the newly launched intelligent electric drive brand, emerged as the technical highlight. According to Yu, the quality of Huawei DriveONE powertrains has ranked first for three consecutive years, and it has held the top spot in shipments in the domestic market for powertrains priced above 300,000 yuan for two years running, with a cumulative safe driving distance exceeding 40 billion kilometers.

With range extender generation efficiency exceeding 94% and pure-electric operating efficiency above 94%, Huawei claims that “with the same 100 kWh of battery, we can travel 50 kilometers further than others.” The Huawei Whale Battery Platform, meanwhile, upholds the philosophy of “same battery, different safety,” redefining industry safety standards.

From a market fundamentals perspective, Harmony Intelligent Mobility is on a rapid upward trajectory. Yu disclosed at the conference that deliveries for the entire alliance reached 112,700 units in the first quarter of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 41.9%, bringing cumulative deliveries to 1.35 million units.

On the channel and service front, plans call for Harmony Intelligent Mobility to establish over 2,459 sales outlets and 1,459 service centers by the end of 2026, covering more than 94% of cities nationwide and integrating a charging network of over 2 million chargers. The depth and breadth of this infrastructure layout will provide solid underlying support for subsequent product volume expansion and user reach.

Judging by the product matrix and technology system presented at this launch, Harmony Intelligent Mobility is no longer content with the success of individual models. Instead, it is leveraging a parallel approach of multiple brands, categories, and technologies to build a full-scenario smart mobility solution spanning the 200,000 to 700,000 yuan price range.

The synchronized launch of five new models serves as both a signal flare for Harmony Intelligent Mobility’s accelerated market expansion in 2026 and a significant milestone in its transformation from a “technology enabler” to a “full-stack systemic competitor.” As the smart vehicle industry shifts from isolated breakthroughs to systemic competition, Harmony Intelligent Mobility is pursuing a strategic path of “full-stack self-development plus full-scenario coverage” to secure a more commanding position in this transformation.
