Here’s Why Kylie Jenner Will Never Return to Her ‘King Kylie’ Era

In September, Kylie Jenner teased the return of her “King Kylie” era with a teal-haired look. However, during her recent interview with Elle, she said otherwise. For the magazine’s cover story, Jenner dwelled on her 2015 era, which will “always be a part” of her current self but confirmed that it will “never” make a comeback. She also talked about her current aesthetic and style as a beauty mogul and mother of two children.

Kylie Jenner says she’s grown out of ‘King Kylie’

In the Elle interview, Kylie Jenner clarified she “had a free day” while discussing the teal hair look and the possible comeback of her “King Kylie” era. She revealed it was a fun-loving activity that she and her makeup team tried out that day.

Jenner revealed that “[King Kylie] will always be a part of” her life and who she is today. However, she thinks “it’ll never be what it was when I was younger.” The 27-year-old also said her interests have changed and that she “probably would never wear lash extensions and thick eyebrows,” or any other makeup fads popular during 2015 because these are “certain trends” that she has “grown out of.”

The “King Kylie” speculation began after Jenner teased the return of her 2015 era in early September. She posted photos on her Instagram sporting teal hair and captioned one post, “teal the end of time.” Back in January, Jenner flaunted bubblegum pink hair, another hint that she might be reviving one of her 2015 looks. She captioned the Instagram post, selfie, “Hiiiii remember me.”

During the Elle interview, Kylie Jenner further claimed she doesn’t “like to have too many regrets in life.” She wants to give her “younger self grace,” believing, “My path is what got me here today.” However, the Kylie Cosmetics founder does regret getting breast enhancement as a teenager. Nonetheless, the mother of two is “happy” with where is she right now in life and wants to “keep moving forward.”

As for her current aesthetic, Kylie Jenner said “dark feminine” is her “authentic style” now that “King Kylie” is out of the picture. She concluded, “At 27, I feel more confident and more like myself than ever.”
