World Coffee Research Recognized in TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2025
World Coffee Research has announced that their Innovea Global Coffee Breeding Network was named a Best Invention of 2025 by TIME Magazine. Launched in 2022, Innovea a coffee breeding effort that unites governments and research institutions across Latin America, Africa, and Asia to accelerate the pace of genetic improvement for both arabica and robusta coffee. Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity Launches Brewing for Equity Fellowship

As they celebrate their 5th anniversary, the Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity (CCRE) has announced the launch of the Brewing for Equity Fellowship (BFE Fellowship), a 10-month immersive program designed to elevate and empower Black and Brown professionals in the coffee industry. “Dirty Soda” is the Latest Beverage Trend

CNBC shares that “dirty soda”—the term for which was first coined by Utah-based drink chain Swig—is taking over the beverage industry, with big companies including PepsiCo and McDonald’s releasing their own versions. The drink, which is made up of soda with flavored syrups, cream, and other ingredients, will be released by PepsiCo in two new ready-to-drink options next year.

Data collected by WalletHub reveals the top cities in the United States for coffee lovers, ranking Portland, Oregon, as the #1 coffee destination. The study took various factors into consideration, including number of coffee houses per capita and the average price of a bag of coffee.
