Haveron and Hoban win at NI Football League Awards

Larne manager Gary Haveron was named Manager of the Year at the Northern Ireland Football League’s awards.

Glentoran striker Pat Hoban was named Player of the Year on Saturday night in Belfast.

Glentoran are three points behind leaders Larne in the Irish Premiership and the two title protagonists face off at the Oval on Friday in the penultimate game of the season.

Stephen Lowry was named the Championship’s Player of the Year after an impressive campaign for leaders Limavady United, while Moyola Park striker David Parkhouse won the award for the Premier Intermediate League.

Crusaders chairman Tommy Whiteside was given a Special Regonition Award for his time at Seaview, while former Fifa vice-president Jim Boyce was recognised with a Lifetime Contribution Award.
