Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick afforded a rousing pep talk to his players, ahead of the club’s upcoming showdown with Benfica.
That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
The last few days have of course proven to be of a hugely emotional nature at Barcelona.
This comes after first-team doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia, hours before the Blaugrana were due to take on Osasuna in La Liga, suddenly passed away.
The club’s staff and players alike were left deeply affected by the news, with Saturday’s fixture having been postponed as a result.
With such an important outing to come later today, Hansi Flick therefore provided his squad with what he felt was a necessary pre-match team talk.
As per a report from Jose Alvarez Haya of El Chiringuito TV:
“Flick has given a one-hour pep talk in the locker room. Hansi is the one who is in the worst condition, very affected (by Miñarro Garcia’s passing).”
