Today at its I/O conference, Google has announced a new AI Ultra plan, which will be offered alongside the newly-renamed AI Pro plan (previously known as AI Premium). AI Ultra is $249.99 per month and will initially be available in the US only with an offer to get the first three months at 50% off. It has 30TB of Google cloud storage and includes YouTube Premium. AI Pro remains $19.99 per month as before.
Google says Ultra gives you the most powerful models with the highest rate limits, as well as early access to its “most exciting experimental AI products before anyone else”.
Speaking of which, the Veo3 AI video generator will be available to AI Ultra subscribers today. Google says it’s “in a league of its own”, letting you “not just generate a video scene, but also the bustling city sounds, the subtle rustle of leaves or even character dialogue – all from simple text prompts”.
Imagen 4 is the latest version of Google’s AI image generator, and this one is available to all Gemini users in the app today. Deep Research lets you add your own sources like private PDFs and images.
Finally, starting tomorrow Gemini will be available in Chrome on desktop for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the US who use English as their Chrome language on Windows and macOS.
The first version lets you ask Gemini to clarify complex information on any website, or summarize information. In the future, Gemini will get the ability to work across multiple tabs and even navigate websites on your behalf.
