Madison Dunkirk (Cass County Jail)
FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Police arrested a woman suspected of shoplifting an expensive coffee machine earlier this month after using the department’s FLOCK license plate reader system.
Police say a loss prevention employee at a store saw the woman loading a cart with high-value merchandise and attempt to leave the business without paying. When the employee tried to stop her, the woman, 27-year-old Madison Dunkirk of Fargo, rammed the employee with the full shopping cart multiple times. She also threw hot coffee in the employee’s face, causing redness, pain and damaging their clothing. She then grabbed $700 coffee machine and left according to police.
Officers were able to identify Dunkirk through a tattoo, past encounters and store security video. They used the FLOCK license plate reader to track her vehicle’s last known location. Dunkirk was arrested in a parking lot on North Broadway.
Dunkirk was arrested for theft. There was a West Fargo warrant for failure to appear and a Cass County warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
