Fiorentina 0-3 Napoli: Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku score

Scott McTominay scored his fourth goal of the season to help Napoli sweep aside Fiorentina and go top of Serie A.

Antonio Conte’s side replaced Atalanta at the summit, three points ahead but having played one game more.

Scotland midfielder McTominay added gloss to the scoreline when he made it 3-0 in the 68th minute, latching on to a loose ball in the box and slotting beyond ex-Manchester United team-mate David de Gea.

Former Old Trafford striker Romelu Lukaku made it 2-0 for Napoli with a coolly taken penalty past keeper De Gea for his seventh goal of the season.

David Neres broke the deadlock for the 2022-23 title winners in the 29th minute to send Napoli on their way to victory against the sixth-placed hosts.

Up next for the league leaders is a home game against Hellas Verona, who are 16th, on 12 January.
