Prime Video will soon delight romance fans with a new show titled Every Year After, based on Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel Every Summer After. It spent 16 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list and has sold more than 1 million copies to date. The first trailer for Every Year After is out now and features the lead cast alongside Westworld actress Aurora Perrineau.
Per the official description, the show’s story is “told over the course of six years and one week in Barry’s Bay – the quintessential lake town – Every Year After is a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever.”
What do we see in the Every Year After trailer?
The Every Year After trailer presents Sadie Soverall, known for Saltburn, and Matt Cornett, known for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, as lead protagonists, Percy and Sam, respectively.
Percy is seen coming back to Barry’s Bay, where she hopes of reuniting with Florek brothers, Sam and Charlie. Her return, however, tends to complicate things for Sam. He struggles to hide his feelings for her despite already being in another relationship.
Apart from Soverall and Cornett, Every Year After also features Westworld star and actress Aurora Perrineau. Other key cast members include Abigail Cowen (Redeeming Love, The Ritual), Michael Bradway (Marked Men: Rule + Shaw, Safe House), Joseph Chiu (Motorheads), and Elisha Cuthbert (The Ranch).
The show has Amy B. Harris as the executive producer alongside Fortune, Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens, and Grace Gilroy.
Every Year After is Prime Video’s latest book-to-screen offering. Last year, Ransom Canyon was released, which was based on the romantic Western book series by author Jodi Thomas. Additionally, a new series based on Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill novels is also in development.
As for Every Year After, it will debut all episodes on Prime Video on June 10, 2026.
