A new version of iAM Smart featuring real-time, practical information relating to daily life will launch on October 9, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) announced today.
Members of the public will be able to browse information on local real-time weather and traffic conditions, as well as accident and emergency department waiting times, the locations of public facilities, and other government information, simply by opening the iAM Smart mobile app.
Three hundred government, public and private online services will be accessible to users. These include Leisure Link, eHealth, eTAX, Contactless e-Channel, HKeToll, renewal of vehicle licences, online applications for an International Driving Permit, and the online services of power and gas companies.
The OGCIO said that since its launch in late 2020, iAM Smart, a one-stop personalised digital service platform, has reached more than 2.3 million registrations.
In addition to adding practical information, the OGCIO will continue to upgrade the iAM Smart app by enhancing its user experience, as well as simplifying registration procedures and the overall service workflow. The goal is to provide one-stop digital government services via a single portal by 2025.
