Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center unveils bronze relief portraits of local celebrities

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — One performing arts center honor 2 local celebrities with a special dedication.

The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center, also know as ‘The Dixie’ hosted a bronze relief dedication in honor of Dixie Carter and Hal Holbrook.

Dixie Carter was once a resident of Carroll County and later became an actress and married award winning actor Hal Holbrook.  To honor the celebrities, they created 2 bronze relief portraits that are located outside of the center.

“I think this is going to be a wonderful way to show our appreciation to Dixie Carter and Hal Holbrook, and also to let everyone know about them and they can come by and take selfies now of the famous celebrities so were really excited,” said Angela Demaris, Executive Director, of the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center.
