In terms of developments, on January 20 during the Davos Agenda, Hong Kong’s Financial Secretary Paul Chan stated at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting that Hong Kong, as an international financial center, adopts a proactive and prudent approach in developing digital assets. It promotes responsible and sustainable market growth based on the principle of ‘same activity, same risk, same regulation.’ Since 2023, Hong Kong has issued licenses to 11 virtual asset trading platforms and is expected to grant stablecoin licenses later this year.
Previously, according to Deylin Holdings’ plans, its wholly-owned subsidiary, Deylin Securities (Hong Kong), has been actively advancing system integration and testing with SFC-recognized licensed virtual asset trading platforms. Full-scale virtual asset trading services are expected to launch in February 2026. Recently, Deylin Securities received conditional approval from the SFC to provide virtual asset advisory services, contingent upon accepting certain conditions tied to its existing Type 4 (advice on securities) regulated activity license.
