Deals: the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is 40% off, Galaxy and Motorola foldables are also on sale

Did you pick up a new phone during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days? If not, here are some regular deals – ones that don’t require a Prime subscription – for your consideration.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is part of a new trend that’s actually pretty old – smartphone makers once again think that super-thin phones are what the people want. Are they right?

Whether or not the Edge will replace the Plus next year is unclear. Either way, 2025 has both a Galaxy S25 Edge and an S25 Plus. With how much Samsung has been pushing the Edge, the slim phone ends up costing less than its sibling, even though its MSRP is $100 higher. For a detailed comparison between the two, check out our Galaxy S25+ vs. S25 Edge article.

As the “new hotness”, the Galaxy S25 Edge might be considered a replacement for the Galaxy S25 Ultra too. It may have the same 200MP main camera as the Ultra, but the Edge is no match for the Ultra’s photo and video skills. Check out our Galaxy S25 Ultra vs. S25 Edge comparison article for more.

While it’s not thin, the OnePlus 13 costs right around the same as the S25 Edge. Okay, 8.5mm isn’t that bad considering that this phone has a 6,000mAh battery (2,100mAh more than the Edge!) and fast 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. It has pretty capable cameras too – more on that in our OnePlus 13 vs. Galaxy S25 Ultra article.

Next up, let’s have a glance at the two affordable members of the S25 family. The Samsung Galaxy S25 is also the company’s small premium phone, competing with the likes of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro (neither of which are on sale this week).

Then there’s the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE – not as premium, but it’s an option if you want a larger 6.7” display without paying for an S25 Edge or S25+. Note that it has a 1080p+ panel, not 1440p+ like on the more premium models.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 undercuts the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 by $80, if you are looking at 512GB units. It now has a larger, much more usable 4.1” cover display, so it competes better with the Moto. However, it loses the battery race – the 4,300mAh power cell can only be filled at 25W over a wire and at 15W wirelessly. For comparison, the 4,700mAh battery on the Razr Ultra does 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. The Motorola also has the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset instead of Samsung’s Exynos 2500.

Then there’s the cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. This time the tables are turned and the Motorola Razr+ 2025 is cheaper than its Galaxy rival. Both phones can be thought of as re-releases of the companies’ respective 2024 flagships. The Samsung uses the Exynos 2400 (instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) and the Motorola uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. If you are trying to decide between the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE, check out this article.

Of course, there’s also the Motorola Razr 2025. On the outside it looks like a fairly premium flip foldable, but on the inside it has the entry-level Dimensity 7400X. With only $100 between the Razr and Razr+, the vanilla model feels underpowered for its cost.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 finally got some competition in the US – the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is now available. The phone was announced in mid-August, so Google certainly took its sweet time with it. Right now it’s so new that there are no deals for it. The Z Fold7, meanwhile, is $400 off, so the base 256GB model is $200 cheaper than the 256GB Pixel foldable.
