The NYT Connections for today, February 3, 2025, is now available for players. The word game made its first appearance in The New York Times in June 2023 and has since become one of the widely popular aspects of the publication. To solve the game, a player must categorize a 16-word grid into four correct groups of four.

Each group or category stands for a theme, shared by four words from the grid. These commonalities be anything — from synonyms to homophones to real words made jibberish by adding a letter or two. Today’s grid was relatively easy, though we did struggle trying to figure out what the fourth word was in the group of OUCH, SNAP, and ZING. We initially presumed that the common theme was comic book exclamations before realizing that they were responses to insults, and BURN fit that pattern. The remaining three were not that hard to figure out, though we did think that TWIST and SCREW would be part one category.
