The team at Compassionate Inverclyde hosted the charity’s first ever Kindness Cuppa coffee morning at St John’s Church in Shore Street.
Around 60 people turned out to support the charity, and their purchase of home baking and cups of tea and coffee helped raise £340 on the day.

(Image: Alex Craig) Compassionate Inverclyde CEO Alison Bunce said the event was such a success that she hopes to make Kindness Cuppa an annual event.
She said: “It went really well and we were so pleased with the amount we raised in just a couple of hours.
“Every table was full so there must have been around 60 people there, and around 15 volunteers were helping on the day too.”

She added: “We have volunteers who are working across all of our different projects, so this was a chance for some of them to meet each other for the first time.
“People came along to support the event because they really believe in what we do as a charity as see those benefits within the community.
“We want to say ‘thank you’ to all of our volunteers and to everyone who came along for all their support.”
