Coldplay concert draws 200,000 attendees across four shows at Kai Tak Sports Park, inspiring confidence for future events

13th April 2025 – (Hong Kong) British rock band Coldplay wrapped up their four-show concert series at the main venue of Kai Tak Sports Park last night. The park management reported an impressive turnout of approximately 200,000 spectators from overseas, the mainland, and Hong Kong, marking the first concert held at the venue since its opening in March.

Expressing confidence in hosting more international sporting and entertainment events in the future, the park management sees this successful Coldplay concert series as a stepping stone towards further promoting and solidifying Hong Kong’s reputation as the “Asian Capital of Events.”

Throughout the series of performances, Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin captivated audiences from start to finish, creating a vibrant atmosphere that resonated with fans. The concerts featured a blend of mesmerising music performances, unique visual effects, and an engaging live experience, allowing each attendee to immerse themselves in Coldplay’s distinctive charm. Additionally, the efficient departure process ensured that nearly 50,000 spectators could exit the main venue orderly within 20 minutes and access various modes of transportation in nearby areas, contributing to a smooth overall operation.
