Chrissy Teigen Joins the Ranks of Celebrities Embracing This Hair Trend for Spring

A new season has arrived, and with it, many A-listers are freshening up their looks. And in case you haven’t noticed, the lob is officially surging in popularity. Everyone from Hailey Bieber to Margot Robbie has embraced a version of the style, from a shoulder-skimming style to one with fringe.

The latest celebrity to make a major change where her hair is concerned? Model, entrepreneur and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen, who joined the trend and debuted her newly shortened locks to Instagram on Wednesday, March 25.

The 40-year-old mom of four shared a pair of snapshots casually snapped while in Sephora to show off her fresh cut. “chop chop 💇🏽‍♀️ feeling so light!!” Teigen wrote in her caption. Meanwhile, she tagged her glam team in the first of the two photographs, including hairstylist Irinel de León and makeup artist Kristine Studden.

Teigen’s fresh lob stops just above her shoulders, which she showcased in a mirror selfie while shopping. Her brand-new cut was paired with a strapless structural top with a swirl pattern and denim. In her second snapshot, the Cravings author added a pair of oversized round sunnies to her look and pursed her lips for the camera.

Plenty of Teigen’s 40.5 million Instagram followers chimed into the comments section of her post to praise her newly shortened locks for the spring season.

“Looks great 🔥,” one fan cheered.

“Stunning 🔥😍,” another follower stated.

“lookin fresh 👏,” an additional comment read.

“Hair color and cut is perfection 🙌👏🔥❤️,” one fan cheered.

Meanwhile, several others piped in to applaud Teigen’s outfit of choice.

“But can we talk about your top!!!! 😍,” one follower declared.

“Love the top😍😍,” someone else concurred.

And when one follower asked Teigen, “You’re not an @ultabeauty girl @chrissyteigen?” she offered up an incredibly candid reply. “@artepnnaglow tbh not really a beauty girl I like the grocery store but needed some @supergoop !!!”

Over on her own Instagram story, de León, who also works with celebrity clients like Kendall Jenner and Jessie Buckley, noted that her client tested the waters before committing to the chop. “that pic of Chrissy yesterday was all done with extensions,” she wrote. “Today we chopped it for real.”
