A Chinese navy helicopter flew within 10 feet of a Philippine patrol plane in a disputed area of the South China Sea, according to the Philippine Coast Guard. The pilot of the Philippine plane was heard telling the Chinese pilot that it was conducting a “lawful maritime patrol within the exclusive economic zone.”
