China reports death of its citizen in Iran

China has called for an immediate ceasefire and renewed diplomatic efforts to end the escalating conflict in the Middle East, after confirming that at least one Chinese citizen was killed in Tehran, News.Az reports, citing Al Jazeera.

Speaking at a press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said the most urgent priority is to halt military operations and prevent the conflict from spreading further.

She urged all parties to pursue a resolution through dialogue and negotiation.
